How to Format USB Drive for use with Mazak and Floppy Emulator Connect

Overview

Mazaks require a special formatting on floppy disks to function so the same will hold true when using our Floppy Emulator Connect. 

Formatting the USB Drive

  1. Plug in USB drive into the Floppy Emulator Connect
  2. Red light on Floppy Emulator Connect begins to flash 
  3. Press RESET button on Floppy Emulator Connect
  4. Red light will stop flashing 
  5. On the Mazak, Press DATA IN/OUT
  6. Press FLOPPY softkey
  7. Press FD FORMAT softkey
  8. Enter "-9999" then press INPUT
  9. Press START softkey 
  10. USB drive will now be formatted
