How to Add DataXchange Users

Overview

This article will demonstrate how to add Scytec DataXchange users. 

Requirements

  1. DataXchange Administrator User

Add a User

  1. Log into DataXchange
  2. Go to the Manage > Users > Users
  3. Click Add
  4. Fill out the following required fields (blue)
    1. User Name = This is the user name that will be used to log into DataXchange, we recommend making this the same as your Windows user name or your email address (e.g. jamess@monstersinc.com would be jamess); this is also case sensitive
    2. First Name = Users first name
    3. Last Name = Users last name
    4. Plant = Select one from the drop down
    5. Group Membership = This is the User Group this user will belong to, leaving all unchecked is considered the "All Employees" User Group and perfectly acceptable
  5. Fill out the following optional fields (Orange)
    1. Company Email = Typically your primary email address; this is also used to send a welcome email that will contain their User Name, temporary password, installation link, Account Number, and Account Password
    2. External Email = Used for email to text notifications, the following article has additional information (link)
  6. Click Enter when done
