How to Change Communication Settings in Predator DNC

Overview

Serial-based machines in Predator DNC have a communication settings that can be changed. In most cases, the settings must match the CNC machine parameters. This article will show how to change the ComPort HSM Terminator settings in Predator DNC. 

Cancel or Stop Machines

  1. Start Predator DNC v11 Administrator
  2. Go to Command > Cancel All

Change the Communication Settings

  1. Expand (+) the machine and click the first command (e.g. Send to CNC, Receive from CNC, Remote Start)
  2. In the objects panel on the right, right-click on "ComPort HSM Terminator"
  3. Click Properties
  4. Click Next
  5. Change Port, Baud, Parity, Data, Stop, and Flow to the desired settings
  6. Click Next, then Finish
  7. Repeat for the remaining commands

Save the PXP Configuration File and Start Machines

  1. Go to File > Save
  2. Go to Command > Startup All
