How to Check if a DMG Mori has an MTConnect Adapter
Overview
Since around 2013, DMG Mori machines (previously known as Mori Seiki) have been equipped with MTConnect as a standard feature, although this is restricted to Fanuc and Mitsubishi back-ends. Machines from earlier years might also support MTConnect if they have received a firmware update post-2013. The following article will detail the steps to verify the system configuration to determine whether the MTConnect Adapter is installed on the machine.
Check for the MTConnect Adapter
- Press SYSTEM button
- Press SYSTEM CONFIG. softkey
- Press DETAIL softkey
- In the right panel, look for an application called "MTConnectComm.exe"
- If this is present, then your machine has MTConnect
