How to Check if Haas NGC Supports SMBv2 and NTLMv2

Overview

SMBv1 and NTLMv1 have long been disabled by IT departments. Newer Haas Next Generation Controls support SMBv2 and NTLMv2. The easiest way to check is by checking the Net Share settings page.

Check for SMBv2 Support

  1. Press SETTING button
  2. Go to Net Share tab
  3. Towards the bottom, look for "Enable SMBv1 Support" or "Local SMBv1 Support", if this setting is shown, the Haas NGC supports SMBv2

Check for NTLMv2 Support

  1. Press SETTING button
  2. Go to Net Share tab
  3. Towards the bottom, look for "Enable NTLMv1+ Support" or "Local NTLMv1+ Support", if this setting is shown, the Haas NGC supports NTLMv2
Newer Haas Next Generation Control firmware will have both options shown in the screenshot below
