How to Configure DMG Mori MAPPS Network Settings

Overview

This article includes steps to configure network settings on a DMG Mori MAPPS control. 

Controls

  1. MAPPS III & IV

Requirements

  1. Static IP Address, Subnet Mask, & Gateway
  2. Network Drop

Preparation

  1. Plug into only one of the following network ports
    1. Electrical cabinet (i.e. rear cabinet); port is commonly labeled CN6 and/or NET


    2. Behind the LCD (i.e. pendant), port is commonly labeled CN6

Depending on the NC system backend, there may be more than one network port

Configure Network Settings

Notate or take a picture of any settings before making changes
  1. Press SYSTEM button
  2. Press < softkey
  3. Press COMM. SETNG (F5)
  4. Type 1 for "NETWORK BASIC SETTING"
  5. Press INPUT button
  6. Set DHCP Function to "INVALID" (blue indicates selected; this is default)
  7. To set the following settings, select the field, type the value, then press INPUT button
    1. Set IP Address with your static IP address
    2. Set SUBNET MASK with your subnet mask
    3. Set Default Gateway with your gateway
  8. Press SET (F9)
  9. Press RETURN (F10)

Finalize Configuration

  1. Turn the CNC Control off then back on to apply changes
