How to Create Custom View for Predator DNC in Windows Event Viewer

Overview

A useful troubleshooting tool is the Windows Event Viewer. This will provide insight to more obscure issues that may arise. The following KB will detail how to create a custom view to easily find events related to Predator DNC Service. The same concept can be applied to any service. 

Requirements

  1. Access to Predator DNC Server
  2. Access to Windows Event Viewer
  3. Basic Understanding of Windows Event Viewer

Create a Custom View for Predator FLM

  1. Open Event Viewer
  2. Go to Action > Create Custom View...
  3. Select By source
  4. For the Event sources, select "Predator DNC Service"

  5. Click OK when done
  6. In the Save Filter to Custom View, give it a name such as "Predator DNC"

  7. Click OK when done
  8. Now from the Event Viewer under Custom Views, you will find the saved Predator DNC filter, click it to see the filtered results
