How to Delete Collected Data from Predator MDC
You can delete collected data for a specific machine, all data for all machine up to a specific date, or delete a machine and all of its data.
Requirements
- Predator MDC Administrator or Predator MDC Enterprise Administrator
- User account with permission to Delete Collected Data
Delete selected machine and all its data
This is used when you want to delete a machine that is no longer in use or does not need to be in the Predator MDC system
- Go to Administrator -> Delete Collected Data...
- Select Delete selected machine and all its data
- Select the machine using the filter below, click OK
- A warning will appear asking for confirmation, click Yes
- Depending on how much data has been collected, it will complete within a few minutes
Delete all data for specific machine
This is used when you want to delete only the data for a machine, but keep the machine itself in Predator MDC. Typically used to delete erroneous data or repurposed machines
- Go to Administrator -> Delete Collected Data...
- Select Delete all data for specific machine
- Select the machine using the filter below, click OK
- A warning will appear asking for confirmation, click Yes
- Depending on how much data has been collected, it will complete within a few minutes
Delete all data for all machines up to a specific date
This will delete data up to a specific date. For example, you want to delete all data prior to the year 2020, the Start Date would be 12/31/2019, this will keep all data in 2020, but delete data from 2019 and older
- Go to Administrator -> Delete Collected Data...
- Select Delete all data for all machines up to specific date
- Select State Date
- A warning will appear asking for confirmation, click Yes
- Depending on how much data has been collected, it will complete within a few minutes
Troubleshooting
- When trying to delete a machine and all of its data, "The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint..." appears. This usually means there is data that used this machine as a reference which means it cannot delete the machine. Try deleting only the data for the specific machine, then retry deleting the machine. If this fails, send a screenshot of the error to support@shopfloorautomations.com. We will likely need access to your SQL server to find a solution.
