How to Disable SNMP on Moxa NPort W2150A, W2250A, W2150A-W4, & W2250A-W4

Overview

The SNMP agent is on by default, but this might be forbidden on some corporate networks. The following article will help you disable SNMP. 

Requirements

  1. Network connection to the Moxa device
  2. Username & password of the Moxa device

Disable SNMP Agent

  1. Once logged into the Moxa device, go to System Management > Misc. Network Settings > SNMP Agent
  2. Set "SNMP" to Disable
  3. Click Submit
  4. Go to Restart > Restart System
  5. Click Submit
  6. Device will reboot
