How to do Mid-Tape Restart with Connect Devices

Overview

Our Connect product line allows for a mid-tape restart when drip-feeding program. This allows the operator to search for specific text in the program to start drip-feeding from. Any text can be searched such as a line number, tool number, etc. 

Mid-Tape Search and Start

The following instructions will search for line N100, adjust your search accordingly
  1. Select DNC
  2. Select the file to DNC to CNC
  3. Select Opt. with the LEFT button
  4. Select Mid-tape with the LEFT button
  5. Scroll to the letter N then press the RIGHT button to go to Next character
  6. Scroll to the number 1 then press the RIGHT button to go to Next character
  7. Scroll to the number 0 then press the RIGHT button to go to Next character
  8. Scroll to the number 0
  9. Press the MIDDLE button to go to Cont. to finish the N100 entry
  10. Press the MIDDLE button to go to Cont. to proceed with DNC
  11. Press the MIDDLE button to Start DNC
  12. Wait while the N100 is found in the file selected
  13. DNC data will start after the line with N100 is found in the file.
