How to Enable Parentheses on Fanuc

Overview

Some Fanuc controls do not have enough keys and will omit the parentheses. There is a parameter to show the C-EXT softkey that contains special characters which includes parentheses. This is known to work on Fanuc 16, 18, and all i-Series.

Enable C-EXT Softkey

  1. Change Parameter 3204 bit 2
    1. 0 will disable C-EXT softkey (XXXXX0XX)
    2. 1 will enable C-EXT softkey (XXXXX1XX)
