How to Install and Configure Moxa UPort 1110

Do not plug UPort device into PC until prompted to do so

Overview

This article will go over the steps to install and configure drivers for the Moxa UPort 1110 USB to Serial Device. 

Requirements

  1. PC with an available USB port

Preparation

  1. Download Moxa UPort 1100 Series Drivers (link)

Install UPort Drivers

  1. Launch exe to install the UPort drivers and follow default options
  2. On the Review installed UPort page, click Next

  3. Click Finish

Configure UPort Drivers

  1. Launch UPort 1100 Series Configuration Utility, this can be found in the Start Menu
  2. Check Enable Fixed-base COM Mode
  3. Select a beginning COM number
    4. SFA recommends starting with COM5 or higher
  4. Click OK when done
  5. Plug in UPort device

Troubleshooting

  1. If selected COM port is not found, try using the same USB port you initially installed the device on
  2. If USB is having trouble staying connected, disable and USB power saving options
