How to Install Moxa Windows Driver Manager
Overview
The following article will guide you through the steps to install and configure Moxa Windows Driver Manager. This is used to manage all COM ports associated with Moxa NPort devices or Moxa devices with NPorts such as the Moxa AWK-1137C.

Requirements
- Local Administrator Rights
- IP Address(es) of Moxa Device(s)
Preparation
- Download Moxa Windows Driver Manager based on your OS
- Windows 10, Server 2019 or older (link)
- Windows 11, Server 2022 or newer (link)
Installation
- Unzip the downloaded files and run the executable
- Complete Moxa Windows Driver Manager Installation Wizard
Only install the drivers on C drive. Changing the drive letter will cause the drivers to fail.
Add Drivers
- Launch Moxa Windows Driver Manager
- Click Add
- Select Input Manually
- Enter IP address of Moxa NPort Device into Device IP Address
- Enter number of serial port(s) in Total Ports
- Moxa NPort 5110, W2150A, P5150A = 1
- Moxa NPort 5210A, W2250A, IA5250A = 2
- Moxa NPort 5610-8 = 8
- Moxa NPort 5610-16 = 16
- Click OK
- Click No
- The device is blue, double-click it to open COM Port Setting
If the NPort unit has multiple ports, hold Ctrl key and click all ports for the NPort unit, click Setting, then check the box Auto Enumerating COM Number for Selected Ports. Select the first COM number, e.g. COM5, then each consecutive COM number will increment by one, e.g. COM6.
- Set COM Number to desired COM Port (SFA recommends starting at COM5 to avoid conflicts)
- Click Advanced Settings tab
- Set Tx Mode to "Classical"
- Set FIFO to "Disable"
- Check Return Error If Network is Unavailable
- Click OK
- Repeat steps 2 - 14 to add additional Moxa NPort devices
- When done adding devices, click Apply
- Click Yes to apply the changes
