How to License pWidgets

Overview

This article will show you how to enter a license key into pWidgets. This applies to both temporary and permanent licenses as well as DNC, HMI, and MDC versions. 

Requirements

  1. Access to PC/Server where pWidgets is installed
  2. Local Administrator Rights
  3. pWidgets Admin account

Enter New License

  1. While holding Shift, right click pWidgets Home View shortcut and click Run as administrator
  2. Enter username and password
    1. Default credential is "Admin" for both username and password
  3. Click Login
  4. Click Global Settings
  5. Click License 
  6. Enter the provided license key in New License Key
  7. Click Activate
    1. If successful, a message will appear indicating so
    2. If unsuccessful
      1. Copy/Paste versus hand typing License Key
      2. Confirm with SFA the Base Code matches our records
