How to Monitor Serial RS232 Activity on NPort Hardware
Overview
Moxa NPorts have the ability to show TX and RX traffic using the web console.
Requirements
- IP Address of Moxa NPort Unit
Check Serial Traffic on W2150A/W2250A
- Log into the web console of the NPort unit using its IP address
- Go to System Monitoring > Serial Port Status
- You will find a row for each port
- Ensure Auto Refresh is checked to get the latest values
Check Serial Traffic on 5110/5210A
- Log into the web console of the NPort unit using its IP address
- Go to Monitor > Async
- You will find a row for each port
- You will need to refresh the page to get the latest value
Definitions
- TxCnt: number of Tx packets (to device) for the current connection
- RxCnt: number of Rx packets (from device) for the current connection
- TxTotalCnt: number of Tx packets since the NPort was powered on
- RxTotalCnt: number of Rx packets since the NPort was powered on
