How to Revise Vault Items in Predator PDM

Overview

Revising Vault Items is necessary in all Predator PDM systems. This will maintain a revision history essential for quality control.

Requirements

  1. Predator PDM
  2. Predator PDM User Account with at least Manufacturing Engineering permissions

Revise Vault Item

  1. Log into Predator PDM
  2. If not already in the Vault Viewer, open the vault (View > Vault...)
  3. Find the Vault Item to revise and select it
  4. Right-click the Released Vault Item and click Revise...
  5. If not already incremented, enter a new Revision
    6. Revision is for Predator PDM only and do not have to match your system. Revisions in Predator PDM are typically numeric.
  6. ECN and Reference Notes are optional
  7. To add or remove attachments, click Vault Item Attachments
  8. Choose from one of the following to add or remove as many attachments as necessary:
    1. + will directly attach a file such as a NC program or PDF file; this is the most common option
    2. * will all you to attach a shared file from the Shared Library
    3. @ will add a shortcut to another Released Vault Item
    4. X will delete the selected attachment
    5. Eraser will delete all attachments
  9. Click Next, then Finish
