Set EIA (TAPE) Parameters

  1. Press far-left softkey
  2. Press DATA I/O
  3. Press TAPE
  4. Press PARAM.
  5. Set BAUDRATE to "19200" (2400, 4800, 9600 may also be used)
  6. Set DATA BIT to "8"
  7. Set PARITY to "NONE"
  8. Set STOP BIT to "1"
  9. Set HAND SHAKE to "DC CONTROL"
  10. Set WAIT TIME to "5.0"
  11. Set FORMAT to "ASCII"
  12. Set SAME WNo. to "ALARM"
  13. Set PORT to "COM1"
  14. Press PARAM. to close
  15. Press PARAM. DETAIL
  16. Set the following TAP parameters:

While the Mazak control is set to 8 Data Bit, None Parity, & 1 Stop Bit, the computer or hardware sending the part program should be 7 Data Bit, Even Parity, & 2 Stop Bit
