How to Set Okuma P Series Parameters

Notate or take a picture of any parameters before you change them
Set Tape Puncher Interface Parameters
- Ensure NC PANEL key is set to "UNLOCK"
- Press PARAMETER button
- Press DISPLAY CHANGE (F8)
- Go to OPTIONAL PARA:(TAPE PUNCHER INTERFACE)
- Press CLOSE (F8)

To change a parameter, press MENU [*] (F1) or SET (F1)
Press page up and page down buttons to cycle between pages
Set or confirm the following parameters:
- Tape code set to "ISO"
- ISO/EIA Automatically during reading set to "do not
- Tape TV check set to "do not"
- Enter tape code in ISO set to "CRLF"
- Tape delimiting code set to "%"
- Special code set to "ALARM"
- Program operation file name punch set to "punch"
- Tape feed set to "FEED HOLES"
- Tape feed holes set to "1"

Set or confirm the following parameters:
- Device name of program operation set to "CN1:"
- baud rate(bps) set to "1200", "2400", "4800", "9600", or "19200" (recommended)
- RS232C character set to "8 bit"
- RS232C parity bit set to "NON"
- RS232C stop bit set to "2"
- Ready waiting time set to "40"
- Flow control set to "DC CODE"
- The delay timer until the RS switches OFF set to "0"
- Designates the amount of RS OFF time set to "0"
- DC3 when read/verify finished set to "DOES"

Set or confirm the following parameters:
- Device name of program operation set to "CN1:"
- baud rate(bps) set to "1200", "2400", "4800", "9600", or "19200" (recommended)
- RS232C character set to "8 bit"
- RS232C parity bit set to "NON"
- RS232C stop bit set to "2"
- Ready waiting time set to "40"
- Flow control set to "DC CODE"
- The delay timer until the RS switches OFF set to "0"
- Designates the amount of RS OFF time set to "0"
- DC2/DC4 at punch set to "DOES NOT"
Set Optional Read/Write Parameters
- Ensure NC PANEL key is set to "UNLOCK"
- Press PARAMETER button
- Press DISPLAY CHANGE (F8)
- Go to OPTIONAL PARA:(READ/WRITE)
- Press CLOSE (F8)

- Tape delimiting code set to "%"
- RS232C stop bit set to "2"
- RS232C parity bit set to "NON"
- Baud rate(bps) set to "1200", "2400", "4800", "9600", or "19200" (recommended)
- Flow control set to "DC CODE"
- Ready waiting time set to "40"
- RS2322C character set to "8 bit"
