Overview
Predator FLM allows floating of licenses to be shared amongst users. If the need arises to find out who has checked out a license, this can be done from the Windows Event Viewer. This article will explain how to create a saved Custom View filter to quickly determine who has checked out a license from Predator FLM.
Requirements
- Access to Predator FLM Server
- Access to Windows Event Viewer
- Basic Understanding of Windows Event Viewer
Create a Custom View for Predator FLM
- Open Event Viewer
- Go to Action > Create Custom View...
- Select By source
- For the Event sources, select "Predator FLM Service"

- Click OK when done
- In the Save Filter to Custom View, give it a name such as "Predator FLM"

- Click OK when done
- Now from the Event Viewer under Custom Views, you will find the saved Predator FLM filter, click it to see the filtered results

Understanding Predator FLM Events
- License is granted to a user; product checked out, user's hostname, and user's IP address are shown

- Quantity of licenses checked out; License 10 of 10 granted means there's 9 more licenses left to check out

- License is released by a user; product checked in, user's hostname, and user's IP address are shown

- Quantity of licenses available; License 9 of 10 released means there's 9 licenses left to check out
