ODI and DataXchange not connection to DataXchange Service
Overview
This article will help go over getting ODI to connect to DataXchange Service.
Requirements
- Local Administrator Rights
- To be on Scytec DataXchange Service computer
How to test if Windows Firewall is blocking ODI
- From the Start Menu, search for "Windows Firewall"
- Click Windows Defender Firewall
- Click Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off
- Click all Radio buttons for "Turn off Windows Defender Firewall (not recommended)
- Click OK
- Test ODI again from Client
How to set up and to allow DataXchange service in Windows Firewall
- From the Start Menu, search for "Windows Firewall"
- Click Windows Defender Firewall
- Click Advanced Settings
- Click Inbound Rules
- Click New Rule...
- Click Port
- Click TCP
- Click Specific local ports:
- Type 80
- Click Next
- Click Allow the connection
- Click Next
- Check
- Domain
- Private
- Public
- Click Next
- Name Rule
- Scytec DataXchange Service
- Click Finish
