Operator Guide - Mori Seiki MSC-500s

Overview

This will explain how to output a program (punch) from the CNC control and input a program (read) into the CNC control.

Controls Supported

  1. MSC-500 (Fanuc 21i)
  2. MSC-501 (Fanuc 18i)
  3. MSC-502 (Fanuc 16i)
  4. MSC-521 (Fanuc 21i)
  5. MSC-518 (Fanuc 18i)
  6. MSC-516 (Fanuc 16i)

How to Punch

  1. Set PANEL key to "PANEL/EDIT"
  2. Put control in EDIT mode
  3. Press PROG button
  4. Press DIR softkey
  5. Press (OPRT) softkey
  6. Press far right + softkey until you see "PUNCH"
  7. Press PUNCH softkey
  8. Type in O number with the O, e.g. O1234
  9. Press EXEC softkey

How to Read

  1. Set PANEL key to "PANEL/EDIT"
  2. Put control in EDIT mode
  3. Press PROG button
  4. Press DIR softkey
  5. Press (OPRT) softkey
  6. Press far right + softkey until you see "READ"
  7. Press READ softkey
  8. Press EXEC softkey
