Problem
When an operator selects a program/file using Touch HMI, Predator DNC gives a Low level error 2, file not found error.
Reason
Predator Touch HMI v11 does not prevent a user from access other files, even when its specified in the configuration. This allows any request to be sent to Predator DNC and the software may not have permission or access to the requested file.
Solutions
- If the operator is using a mapped drive to find their program, it will send the request using the mapped drive. In most cases, Predator DNC is running as a service and does not have access to the mapped drive. In other cases, the drive is not mapped on the server or its mapped using a different drive letter. The solution is to update to the latest version of Touch HMI. Swap out the EXEs and maintain their original file name that match their corresponding INIs.
- If the operator is selecting a local file such as one on their C drive, instruct them to use the correct path.
