This article will go through the steps to change the IP address on a Moxa NPort W2150A, W2250A, W2150A-W4, & W2250A-W4.

Requirements

  1. IP Address of Moxa NPort unit
  2. SSID
  3. Wi-Fi Security Information

How to Update Wi-Fi Settings

  1. From a web browser, go to http://[moxa_ip_address]
    1. e.g. http://192.168.1.100/
  2. Type "admin" in Account field
  3. Type "moxa" in Password field
    4. InfoIf this fails, try leaving the password field blank
  4. Click Login
  5. Go to Network Settings > WLAN Settings > WLAN
  6. Set IP configuration to "Static"
  7. Type your IP address in IP address field
  8. Type your Subnet Mask in Netmask field
  9. Type your Gateway in Gateway field
  10. Click Submit

Finalize Configuration

  1. Go to Restart > Restart System
  2. Click Submit
  3. Alert
    As soon as the Ready LED on the Moxa device turns red, disconnect the Ethernet cable
  4. Upon successful connection to your Wi-Fi network, the Ready and WLAN LEDs will be solid green and the signal bars should illuminated, this can take up to 30 seconds
  5. To confirm connectivity, ping IP address from computer designated to host software
