How to Configure a Predator PDM Shop Floor Interface

Overview

The Shop Floor interface is a simplified version of Predator PDM designed specifically for shop floor personnel.

Requirements

  1. Predator PDM Installed (How to Install Predator PDM v11)
  2. Local Administrator Rights
  3. Predator PDM Shop Floor User (How to Create a Generic Predator PDM Shop Floor User)
  4. Predator PDM Shop Floor Users password

Configure Predator PDM Shop Floor

  1. Create a shortcut to Predator PDM and place it on the desktop
    2. Executable path: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Predator Software\PDM 11.0\PPDM.exe"
  2. Right-click the shortcut and click Properties
  3. In the Target field, append the following arguments at the end
    4. -user [insertUsername] -password [insertPassword] -viewvaultitemdialog "[partialVaultPath]"
    1. e.g. -user shopfloor -password predator -viewvaultitemdialog "Production"

  4. Click OK
  5. Rename the shortcut to "Predator PDM Shop Floor"
  6. Optionally, save a copy of the newly created shortcut to be used on other PCs
