How to Create Predator PDM User Groups

Overview

Predator PDM maintains its own database of user groups to help organize permissions. This article will assist with adding a User Group.

Requirements

  1. Predator PDM with Administrator License
  2. Predator PDM User Account with the Following Permissions
    1. New User Group & Edit User Group

Create a New User Group

  1. Log into Predator PDM Administrator
  2. If currently in the Vault Viewer, go to File > Close or click the small X in the upper right corner to close it
  3. Go to Administrator > New User Group...
  4. Fill out a name for the User Group
    1. Recommended User Groups include Manufacturing Engineers, Programmers, and Operators
  5. Click Next, then Finish

Assign Permissions to User Group

  1. Review How to Assign Permissions to a User or User Group and follow Recommended User Groups and Permissions for Predator PDM for best practices.
