USB LAN Connect - Mazak Settings

Overview

The USB LAN Connect - Mazak allows transferring Mazatrol programs in and out of the Mazak control. The following KB will review the unique parameters to be used on the device to communicate via the CMT protocol.

Requirements

  1. USB LAN Connect - Mazak

Connect Device Parameters for the CMT Protocol

  1. Baud Rate
    1. Set to 4800
  2. Data/Parity/Stop
    1. Set to 8 data, no parity, 2 stop bit
  3. Flow Control
    1. Set to CMT Ver 1 for the older controls
    2. Set to CMT Ver 2 for the newer controls
    If CMT Ver 1 doesn't work, try CMT Ver 2, and vice versa.
  4. End of Block Char
    1. Set to None/binary
  5. End of Block Delay
    1. Set to No delay
  6. Start of Tx
    1. Set to none
  7. End of Tx
    1. Set to none
  8. Start Rx
    1. Set to Automatic
