Troubleshooting DataXchange Machine Connection
Overview
There are some things that may be troubleshot in Scytec DataXchange without having to dive too deep into the nitty-gritty of expressions and such.
Attempt to Ping the Machine
- First thing you can try, is to attempt to ping the machine. To find a machine IP, first have the customer open DataXchange and log in.
- Once logged in, open the DataXchange tab
- Highlight the machine in question
- You should see an IP address in the "Communication Information" field in white. Check to see if you can ping that IP address.
- If so, proceed with escalating the ticket or contact an available level 2 technician. If not, then advise the customer that the machine (or associated hardware) is not pinging, and the network connection will need to be investigated.
