How to configure Targets in pWidgets
Overview
Targets are the second step when using pWidgets DNC. It can be a TCP Socket transfer, or a folder move.
Requirements
- Basic Knowledge of pWidgets
- An already configured pWidgets DNC machine
- TCP Socket port number and IP address or target directory
- After a machine is added to pWidgets and Sources tab configured, click on the Targets tab
- Bases on your selections in the Sources tab, the list of options on the left will have a green check mark, select each and configure as follows
If more than one target is used, pWidgets will move copies to each target
TCP Client 1
Transfer the file via a TCP socket, used as a primary TCP socket destination
- Select either Use External Host Name (computer name) or Use Static IP Address
Use Static IP Address is most common and since pWidgets and Predator DNC typically reside on the same server, 127.0.0.1 loopback is often used- For External Server Port, enter the TCP socket designated for this machine

- Click Save Settings when done

Folder Move 1
Moves the file to a folder, used as a primary destination
- Select a folder destination
- Check the box Rename the file using a filename that includes the data and time stamp if you want the file to be renamed as to prevent duplication.

- Click Save Settings when done
Folder Move 2
Moves the file to a folder, used as a secondary destination
- Select a folder destination
- Check the box Rename the file using a filename that includes the data and time stamp if you want the file to be renamed as to prevent duplication.
