How to License a Predator FLM Client
Overview
The following article explains how to license Predator products that use a floating license distributed by a Predator FLM server.

Requirements
Local Administrator Rights
Floating Serial Number and Access Code
Predator FLM server IP or Hostname
Predator FLM port
Licensing a New Installation
Locate the shortcut to launch your Predator application
While holding the
Shift
key, right click the Predator shortcut and click
Run as administrator
Upon success, the Registration Information screen will appear
Fill out
Name
and
Company
Copy and paste
Serial Number
and
Access Code
into applicable fields
Set
License Type
to "Floating License Manager"
Enter FLM server hostname or IP address in
Server
field (usually same as Predator DNC, MDC, PDM server)
Enter FLM TCP Port in
Port
field (usually 50000)
Click
OK
when done
Upon success, the Predator application will launch
Change or Update a Predator License
Close all open Predator applications
If licensing Predator DNC and its running as a Windows Service, stop the service before proceeding
Locate the shortcut for the Predator application, but do not launch
While holding the
Shift
key, right click the shortcut and click
Run as administrator
If asked to log in, do so now
Go to
Options
>
Upgrade...
Copy and paste
Serial Number
and
Access Code
into applicable fields
Click
OK
when done
Upon success, the Predator application will remain open
