Overview
The following article explains how to license the Predator FLM server. This will describe how to go from a temporary license to a permanent license, permanent license to a temporary license, change a permanent or temporary license, extend and temporary license, and upgrade to a new license version (i.e. 0A... to 0B...).
Requirements
- Local Administrator Rights
- Serial Number and Access Code
- USB Port for Permanent License
Licensing Predator FLM Server
- If going from a temporary to permanent license, plug in the USB SIM (this will need to remain plugged in permanently)
- Stop the Windows Service "Predator FLM Service" before proceeding, wait two minutes
- If licensing with a permanent license, i.e. USB SIM, plug in the USB SIM prior to proceeding, otherwise skip this step
- From the Desktop or Start Menu, locate the blue Predator FLM Service Manager v11 shortcut
- While holding the Shift key, right click the Predator FLM Service Manager v11 shortcut and click Run as administrator
- Click Upgrade Service Serial/Access, the "Registration Information" screen will appear

- Fill out Name and Company
- Copy and paste Serial Number and Access Code into applicable fields
- Leave License Type set to "Unknown"
- Click OK when done

- Start the Windows Service "Predator FLM Service"
Troubleshooting
- If you get errors when clicking Upgrade Service Serial/Access, do the following:


- Click OK to all prompts, then close Predator FLM Service Properties
- Open Windows Task Manager
- Go to the Details tab
- Listed under "Background process", locate and click "Predator FLM Service (32 bit)"
- Click End task
- Try the steps to License Predator FLM once again
