How to Manage Predator PDM Users

Overview

Predator PDM maintains its own database of users. This article will assist with adding a User as well as assigning a User to a User Group.

Requirements

  1. Predator PDM with Administrator License
  2. Predator PDM User Account with the Following Permissions
    1. Assign Permissions
    2. Assign Users to User Groups
    3. New User & Edit User
    4. New User Group & Edit User Group

Create a New User

  1. Log into Predator PDM Administrator
  2. If currently in the Vault Viewer, go to File Close or click the small X in the upper right corner to close it
  3. Go to Administrator > New User...
  4. Fill out First Name, Last Name
  5. Give this user a User Name, recommend using the same as their Windows credentials
  6. Set Status to "Active"
  7. Select a Shift
  8. Click Next, then Finish

  9. Fill out New Password and Confirm New Password
  10. Click OK

  11. When prompted, you can either click Yes to create another User or click No

Assign Users to User Groups

  1. Log into Predator PDM Administrator
  2. If currently in the Vault Viewer, go to File Close or click the small X in the upper right corner to close it
  3. Go to Administrator > Assign Users to User Group...
  4. Select a User Group from the dropdown

  5. Select a User from the Available Users column
  6. Click the Right Arrow to assign the User to the User Group, they will appear in the Selected Users column
  7. Repeat steps 4 & 5 to assign additional Users
  8. Click Finish when done

Reset a Password

  1. Log into Predator PDM Administrator
  2. If currently in the Vault Viewer, go to File Close or click the small X in the upper right corner to close it
  3. Go to Administrator Edit User...
  4. Select a User from the dropdown
  5. Click Next
  6. Check Change Password
  7. Click Next
  8. Click Finish
  9. Fill out New Password and Confirm New Password
  10. Click OK when done

Remove a User 

Once a user has logged in, you cannot delete them. This will allow you to set the user to Inactive.
  1. Log into Predator PDM Administrator
  2. If currently in the Vault Viewer, go to File Close or click the small X in the upper right corner to close it
  3. Go to Administrator Edit User...
  4. Select a User from the dropdown
  5. Click Next
  6. Change Status to "Inactive"
  7. Click Next
  8. Click Finish
