How to Change Fanuc Available Device for Ethernet Connectivity
Overview
When working with a Fanuc i Series control and you have confirmed the Ethernet cable is plugged into the CD38A port and the IP address configured correctly, but you are still having trouble connecting to the Fanuc, its likely due to the Available Device being set incorrectly. Fanuc i Series controls typically have two options for Ethernet settings, EMBEDDED and PCMCIA. We use EMBEDDED to connect Fanuc controls to the network. This article will demonstrate how to change this.
