How to Configure HD I/O Folder on Mazak Mazatrol SmoothG, SmoothX, and SmoothAi Controls

Overview

The HD I/O Folder is used to transfer programs between the hard drive and the NC. This article explains how to set this folder. 

Requirements

  1. Path of desired folder on machine control, e.g. "C:\ymw\M8Y\data\MC_Backup\Predator”
Info
The folder selected cannot be the final destination and must have at least one subfolder.
Info
The subfolders cannot contain spaces.

Configure HD I/O Folder

  1. Press DATA I/O
  2. Press HARD DISK
  3. In the upper right corner, press the gear icon
  4. Go to Setup > HD I/O Folder
  5. Press BROWSE
  6. Navigate to the desired folder
  7. Press OK
